As with everything these days living off grid seems to have become fashionable and latched on to by tv companies and YouTube content creators. This has led to thousands of tv programmes, YouTube channels and videos and indeed websites like ours to satisfy this interest.
Some existing celebrities have moved to an off grid lifestyle whilst some people who have been involved in off grid programmes and you tubing have become minor celebrities in their own right. Some have even moved into the adult entertainment field to solve one of off grid livings issues, making money.
This has led to content that is either mainly entertainment based for the masses or informative for those seriously considering living off grid. I tend to believe that YouTube is probably the best place for information and advice if you opt for the right channels.
There have been some great T.V. shows that are worth checking out.
Homestead Rescue – This features a different family each episode that who are trying to live off grid. It really highlights the effort required to establish a homestead that meets your chosen lifestyle requirements.
Building Off the Grid – This tends to show the more up market attempts to live off grid which may interest you if you have the finances and want to still have a more luxurious lifestyle.
Mountain Men – This checks out the lives of people who have really embraced living with nature. This really does show some of the struggles you may face and how to combat adversity.
Unplugged Nation – this introduces people who are looking to live off grid. They are shown three off grid properties and given the chance to live in one for four days to see if the property suits them and that they can adapt to an off grid way of living.

Markerbuoy – This guy has been living off grid for over twenty years and really covers from A to Z for you, from building a cabin to the day to day trivia.
Becky’s Homestead – this lady built herself a cabin and raises her own food and animals.
Off Grid w/ Jake & Nicolle – Jake & Nicolle have lived off grid for some years and share their knowledge and experience with you and have become celebrity off griders mainly thanks to Nicolle flashing the flesh in many of their videos and on her OnlyFans account.
